A striking  long sleeved hand loomed cotton midi length day dress in a madras check in a joyful range of pinks, oranges and yellows.

Unusual smocking detailing to upper pleated bodice, at front and back, and also on the sleeves, creating a gentle lantern sleeve. Playful turmeric yellow plaid inserts to underarms and undersaide of collar and cuffs; contrasting forest green pattern to lower hem finsihed wiht a selvedge edge.

Front button opening with 5 small brass buttons. Two side pockets.

Perfect on its own or layer with a light summer Injiri slip such as Taan-Baan 104.
